Service Description

Colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation, uses warm, filtered water to help the colon clear waste. This session adds an organic coffee enema at the end. Every session at Wellness Within in Sandyford, Dublin 18, is delivered from start to finish by Nicola Devine, a registered pharmacist and qualified colon hydrotherapist, in a calm, private treatment room. What the colonic does 1. Relief from constipation. Warm water softens waste and encourages the bowel's natural rhythm, which can clear a sluggish colon. The most common reason clients book. 2. Less bloating. Many clients feel noticeably lighter and flatter afterwards, with less trapped gas. What the coffee enema adds 1. A warm organic coffee solution, gently introduced and held before release. 2. Support for the liver. Coffee enemas are traditionally used in the belief that they encourage bile flow and support the liver. The coffee enema is also believed to increase the liver's production of antioxidants, primarily glutathione, which is beneficial because glutathione helps protect cells from oxidative damage and supports the liver's normal detoxification processes. 3. A gentle stimulus for the bowel. Bile, stimulated by the coffee enema, contributes to peristalsis, so better bile flow can help the bowel's rhythm. An honest note: colon hydrotherapy is a complementary wellness treatment, not medical care, and not a cure. If you have a medical concern, take independent medical advice first. Delivered by a registered pharmacist. You are with the same qualified practitioner throughout, never left to operate anything yourself. Nicola holds a Masters in Pharmacy, is registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, and trained as a colon hydrotherapist at the National College of Colon Hydrotherapy under a founder of ARCH. How the session works. Warm, filtered water enters at the gentle pressure gravity provides, not pushed by a machine pump, softening waste so the bowel releases it naturally. This is repeated across the hour, with slight changes in water temperature to help it travel around the whole colon. Gentle abdominal massage aids the rhythm, and an optional herbal infusion is included at no extra cost. Booking.
